Chard is exceptional is several ways, including nutritional content, growing capability and the fabulous colors, but not least among these is its versatility in the kitchen. Here are just a few ways to use these colorful greens in your CSA share this week:
- add a little green to scrambled eggs, pasta, pizza, you name it.
- use the leaves as a wrap
- stir fry with the stems
- use stems for a crunchy bit in a pasta salad
- green smoothie
- cheddar chard scones
